LAWN CARE

Summer is the time to enjoy your lawn, not fight it. Mow high (as high as you can stand, 2-3”) and leave the clippings on. If you let your lawn go dormant in the summer to save water, you will find that the higher you mow the longer into summer your grass will stay green. If you’re not letting your lawn go dormant, water about 1-2” per week. Hand pull or spot treat weeds as necessary. Fertilize in early June (if you didn’t in late May) with a good organic fertilizer. Add lawn chairs and a cool beverage, and enjoy!
