Sky Stories: An Invitation
Over the years many customers have come to know us, and we them. We've talked about their gardens and Sky employees have made suggestions for this or that. We rarely get to see the results directly, but we love it when spring rolls around again and customers come back with good news about the success they had with the ideas we shared.
We've also listened to many recount their memories of coming to Sky all their lives. Some started shopping at Sky with their parents, and now are bringing their own children or grandchildren. We love the stories of what they remember of Sky's past: the pony rides, race car, or costumes at the Garden Party, the little red wagons they pulled around to carry their plants (we still get calls asking if we sell them!), their favorite expert, the bulldog-breeding cashier....
It's not surprising that after fifty-six years in operation, a place like Sky would have a history and stories to tell. In all those years, a lot has changed but a lot remains the same. No change, however, can compare to the one we're undergoing today. We are sure that our new facility will bring in a lot of old timers (and some new ones) just to see what it's all about. But as we carefully take away remnants of the former nursery we never want to lose our identity for our beloved customers old and new.
Because you, our customers, are so vital to our identity and our business, we would like to invite you to send in stories, memories, even photographs of your visits to Sky Nursery over the years. We would like to share your memories and photographs with all generations of Sky visitors during our Customer Appreciation Event on June 20th.
Help us to remember our past as we move forward into our new facility. Our success is not measured in how huge and elegant our store is, but in the continued relationship that we have with you, our customers.
