Sky’s Junior Gardeners
The Junior Gardeners Club at Sky was created in October 2005 at the request of some young, enthusiastic gardeners looking for some answers to their gardening questions. We decided to create a monthly newsletter filled with all kinds of information from bats to beneficial bugs to growing pumpkins and tomatoes successfully. Included in the newsletter is a recipe to jive with what’s growing in the garden. There is also a Professor Pansy column to answer specific gardening questions. We really enjoy your gardening questions. Also, Junior Gardeners receive a monthly coupon for a free surprise!
Sky often hosts activities at the nursery just for Junior Gardeners. Junior Gardeners have planted bulbs, strawberries, sweet peas, flowers of all sorts, even created terrariums and stepping stones. This fall we will have our 1st Annual Zucchini Derby on September 10th and Colossal Pumpkin Weigh-In on October 28th! Please come in, call, or email us to sign up!
